During these unprecedented times, we know there are many questions regarding next season. The Worry-Free Winter Assurance Plan is designed to alleviate any uncertainty that you may have when considering purchasing a season pass. The Worry-Free Winter Assurance Plan is included for season pass purchases through June 22, 2020. We have you covered because we love carving as much as you do!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Worry-Free Winter Assurance contains two components: 105 day season opening commitment and a rollover option.

    • 105-Day Commitment: We will ensure we provide the value of a full winter season for those who purchase a 2020/21 pass before June 22, 2020. Boyne Highlands Resort is committed to offering 105 open days of skiing and riding for Highlands only season passes. For BOYNE Michigan combined season passes, we are committed to being open 130 days between our two resorts (Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain). If the two combined Michigan resorts are open for fewer than 130 days of skiing for any reason, the pass holder will receive a credit toward a 2021/22 season pass based on the percentage of the season missed.
    • Rollover Option: Pass holders can also choose to rollover the value of their purchased 2020/21 season pass toward a single season pass available for the 2021/22 winter season through December 10, 2020. No questions asked.
  • The Worry-Free Winter Assurance provides a credit toward the purchase of any 2021/22 combined BOYNE pass or resort-specific season pass. It will not provide refunds.

  • The value of the credit will be based on the percentage of the 2020/21 season our resort is not able to open for skiing, based on a 105-day season. For example, if our resort is open for only 95 days, 10% of the value of your pass purchase would carry over as a credit toward the purchase of a 2021/22 pass. The credit will be calculated at the end of the winter season.

For BOYNE combined passes, the credit will be calculated based on the number of open days available between Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain based on a 130-day season.

  • The value of any credit issued for your 2020/21 pass can be applied to the purchase of any 2021/22 BOYNE combined pass or resort-specific season pass. You will be free to change the level of pass if desired. Credits will be non-transferable from the original 2020/21 pass purchaser.

  • You will receive a resort gift card with the remaining balance.

  • This program is included at no additional cost with season passes purchased by June 22, 2020, including passes purchased on our payment plans. This is not available on promotional or frequency card products.

  • Yes, if for any reason the season were canceled - Covid-19, war, terrorism, or a natural disaster, then you would receive a 100% credit towards the purchase of a 21/22 season pass.

  • In the event a passholder is restricted from travel due to a local stay-at-home order, that exceeds 30 days prior to Jan 30 when the resort is open, and the pass is unused, a credit for the full pass value will be available for the 2021/22 season.

  • While we evaluate social distancing protocols that may be required for next winter season, we will stop selling our passes until later in the summer.

  • An open day is considered any day during which the resorts offer lift-accessed skiing and riding during scheduled operating hours for the day.

  • Combined BOYNE passes and resort-specific season passes of all age categories are eligible. Season passes purchased (and not used) prior to December 10, 2020 are eligible. Resort ticket packs and frequency cards, promotional products, multi-day tickets, and employee passes are not eligible.

  • The pass holder will receive a credit for the amount paid for their 2020/21 season pass. Actual age and/or pass categories for 2021/22 passes will apply at the time of the 2021/22 pass purchase based on resort policies.  The pass holder will be responsible for any cost increases if the pass holder is no longer eligible for a pass and/or a pass product is no longer offered.

  • No. This option is non-transferable and may be used for the original 2020/21 passholder only.

  • No. This is only available for 2020/21 season passes that have not been scanned or have used its benefits prior to December 10, 2020.

  • Pass holders who have not used their passes must request from their home resort between September 10 and December 10, 2020.  Any requests made after December 10, 2020 will be ineligible.

  • Yes, you can purchase a different pass. If you decide to buy a lower priced pass product, you will receive a resort gift card with the remaining balance. There is no guarantee that the pass product you purchase in 2020/21 will be available in 2021/22.

  • No. Ikon's Adventure Assurance is not available on this promotional Ikon Base Pass product.

  • No. If the Ikon Base add-on pass is used or another winter benefit is used, then the BOYNE Platinum Pass is considered used and is no longer eligible for the rollover benefit.
