The dates that are preloaded onto your Happiness Card give you the flexibility to use them how you see fit. Whether that is consecutively or non-consecutively, you choose!
For ski dates added to your card later during the reload process, you'll have to select your ski dates upon purchase.
Last season we introduced scanning at some of our lifts. This season, we anticipate scanning at all lifts. When you come to the lift, a Boyne Highlands team member will scan your Happiness Card and a ski day will automatically be deducted from your Happiness Card.
It's important to note that your card will likely be scanned multiple times per day as you use the lift system. However, only one ski day will be deducted from your Happiness Card.
When you purchase your Happiness Card, we will ask you what your first anticipated ski date is so that we can determine the best method to get you your Happiness Card.
If you purchased your Happiness Card more than 14 days from your first anticipated ski date, we will automatically mail you your Happiness Card to the address we have on file for you.
Otherwise, plan on picking up your Happiness Card at the Happiness Card Express Pick Up window at Skier Services, located at the Day Lodge.
If your plans change and you won't be skiing as soon as you thought and you'd prefer to have your card mailed to you or you'd prefer to pick up your card at Skier Services, no problem. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and Happiness Card order number and we'll discuss delivery options with you.
No. You must add days onto your Happiness Card to purchase. You can choose from 1-5 days to add preloaded to your card.
Yes, additional days that you add to your Happiness Card during the reload process are date specific. You'll be prompted to choose the dates you'd like to add to your card using a calendar.
The dates that were pre-loaded onto your Happiness Card during initial purchase are NOT date specific.
No, as soon as your purchase of your initial card has been completed you will immediately have access to add additional days to your card.
Yes, you can. Days are removed from your card in the following priority order:
1. Date specific days (these are additional days purchased during the reload process).
2. Pre-loaded non-specific days (these are the original days pre-loaded to your card).
Your pre-loaded days (when you initially purchase your Happiness Card) can be used at any time during the winter 2020/21 season, and can be used consecutively or non-consecutively - you choose!
When you reload or add new days onto your card, you will be required to select a ski date for those days prior to purchasing.
Other Lift Ticket Questions
Tickets are open-to-close. If the resort is open 9am to 4:30pm, then your ticket is good 9am to 4:30pm. If the resort is open 9am to 9pm, then your ticket is good 9am to 9pm.
The 4 hours starts at the time your ticket is first scanned on hill at the lift. Your lift ticket is only valid for those 4 hours.
If you purchase online in advance, your Boyne Rewards points will be automatically added to your account. If you purchase day of at a ticketing outlet at the Resort, Boyne Rewards points are applied at the ticket window when the tickets are printed, the day of.
No. Show your military ID at the ticket window to receive $20 off an open-to-close ticket and $15 off a 4-hour flex or night ticket. (For active/retired US military and their immediate family members only.)
Yes. Gift cards can be used online when purchasing your lift ticket, but only one gift card per transaction can be applied at this time.
Highlands Happiness Cards, 4-hour flex, and night tickets are ONLY good at Boyne Highlands Resort. The multi-resort tickets (2+ days only) can be used at both Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain, BUT they have to be picked up at the resort they were purchased at.
When your multi-resort tickets are purchased online in advance, you will receive a confirmation email with your itinerary number. Bring your itinerary number to the ticket window at Skier Services to pick up your tickets.
If you purchased a Happiness Card more than 14 days prior to your first anticipated ski date, we'll mail your card to the address we have on file for you.
If your plans change after purchasing your lift ticket online - and you're not able to make it on the ski day you purchased your ticket for - we'll credit the value of your ticket for another ski day. It's required that you call Skier Services at 844.836.5502 by 3pm prior to the day your ticket starts and we'll credit the value of your ticket towards the purchase of another ticket on any other date this season.*
*Credits are valid toward the purchase of a regular-priced ticket at the resort for the same number of days or longer, must be used by the end of the 2020-21 winter season, are not available on tickets included within a ski and stay package or purchased through a third party, and are non-transferable. Refunds are not issued if credits are applied toward a lower-priced ticket or are unused within one year of transaction date. Chose the wrong date or resort? We're happy to make that change - we'll apply the amount paid towards a new ticket, no refunds available.
