After a windy trip up M-119, you will arrive at your cardinal destination, Pond Hill Farm. Your first impressions walking in will be cheerful flowers and twisting hop vines up to a quaint farm to table café. This family run farm, not only makes its own wine but also brews craft beer and their famous Tunnel Vision Hard Cider. A quick walk up to the vineyard gives you breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the perfect backdrop for your quintessential Michigan wine tour photo. Once you've had your fill of samples, be sure to stop in the barn to pet a goat or feed a pig, these local characters make this unique stop unforgettable.
Stop number two on the tour is Petoskey Farms Vineyard and Winery. This rustic tasting room is located in beautiful Petoskey, just 3 miles east of downtown. The deck of this winery overlooks 22 acres of rolling hills and the Joy Valley making it the perfect perch to savor your wine while taking in the views. Depending on the day of your tour, you can also enjoy some the of area's best food trucks. The owners of this vineyard are here to fill up your glasses and show you around the colorful grounds. Take home a vineyard souvenir or buy a bottle of wine to share your experience with your friends back home.
The last stop on this adventure is Rudbeckia Farm. This mom and pop winery has 190 acres also located a short drive from Walloon Lake. The owners of this vineyard are all about family hospitality and personally pour your wine with a smile. If you're also interested in a local craft beer, you can find it at this destination as well. The brewery, Burnt Marshmallow Brewing, has about 10 beers on tap during the summer, including a delicious Lemon Lavender Shandy. This tasty seasonal treat is infused with Lavender from Lavender Hills Farm in Boyne City. Enjoy your delicious beverages while throwing a game of horseshoes or bocce ball. When it's time to head back towards home, our team has water and charcuterie snacks waiting to satisfy your inevitable post wine hunger.
