Let it Snow!
The snow Gods were good to us this year and winter is off to a running start! We are so excited about one of our earliest opening we have had in many years and the outlook for the rest of the season to come. Here at The Highlands, we have a lot to look forward to this season and even more to be thankful for!
The hills are already blanketed in white and we have a lot on the upcoming agenda. Holiday Week is right around the corner with visits from the big guy in red, a tree lighting, and delicious holiday buffets and treats in store! Whether you are local or coming from a distance to be with us this December, we are anxiously awaiting your arrival with open arms so that you can feel the warmth that makes this little place in Northern Michigan feel like home.
We have added some exciting events to keep on your upcoming calendar! For MLK Weekend we have decided to celebrate all things smoked and spicy with our 1st annual Bourbon and Bacon Bash. We will have food and drink specials all weekend as well as a Bacon Cook Off to showcase your skills. We have new things in store for the long Presidents Weekend as well! Dust off your powered wig, because we are having a Costume Contest and Rail Jam on Saturday. We have a treasure hunt and great live music to round out the weekend.
Add a kick to your dining this winter with some of our newly offered events. If you enjoy a little drama with your meals, be sure to check out our new Murder Mystery Dinners! You will enjoy a four course meal at the elegant Country Club of Boyne while solving a tricky case with your fellow detectives. We have also added some cool bourbon dinners at the Country Club of Boyne and we have brought back the exclusive Chef's Table Dining experience.
With so much happening this winter, you won't want to miss out on the fun! Be sure to check out our events page and stay tuned to our social media as winter rolls out. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces as we get to do what we do best, spreading good cheer and welcoming you to your home away from home.
Looking forward to the season,
