4th of July 2021

July is here and Harbor Springs is the place to be. Starting off the holiday weekend there are events and activities all month long to keep you coming back for something new. Starting with the Blessing of the Fleet,  July 1st from 6-8pm in Little Traverse Bay to celebrate the rich maritime history of Harbor Springs and to kick-off a safe boating season. Then quickly rolling into the weekend with great weather on the forecast to enjoy the sun, go for a swim or stop into the farmers market and shops around town until we celebrate on Sunday.

To start off the July 4th holiday, register for the Paul Revere 5K & 10 Mile Run to get the blood moving before you enjoy the day with friends and family. Hang around Harbor Springs to check out local Street vendors and pop up shops including the Harbor Springs Community Schools Art Show at Zorn Park from 10am – 5pm. The art show will include unique artists with different pieces to showcase their individual creative styles and talents. 4th of July wouldn’t be complete without the classic small town parade, starting at 1pm. The parade will run right through downtown Harbor Springs and you will see Boyne Highlands very own Young American Dinner Theatre cast featured in the event. Then to cap off the holiday with a show! There will be fireworks over the harbor starting after 10pm.

The fun doesn’t stop after the holiday weekend with events happening in Harbor Springs all month long. Be sure to check out the weekly farmers markets on Wednesday and Saturday Mornings. Friday Night Music in the Park on July 16th featuring Holly August and on July 23rd featuring Dede Alder. Another big weekend event to mark down on your calendars is the LTYC Ugotta Regatta July 30th – August 1st, with sailboats from across the U.S. heading to Harbor springs for one of the nation’s best-known sailing traditions hosted by the Little Traverse Yacht Club.

July is full of events and activities to have fun all month long so make sure to come visit Boyne Highlands and check out Harbor Springs while you’re here!

See you soon,
