Games, Beer, and Entertainment.

This year at the 6th Annual Hops 'n Highlands Festival, there will be fun for all! Bring your friends, or bring your family and enjoy all that the beautiful fall colors that northern Michigan has to offer. Also, Boyne Highlands' fall beer festival still features 45+ Michigan breweries and 175 microbrews in a large beer tent for those 21 and up.

With activities for the kids, this event is family friendly. Kids can do anything from picking and painting their own pumpkin, jumping in the Halloween/fall themed bounce houses, going for tractor rides around the back of the resort, to watching the movie, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

New this year, we've added some fun events that will keep you entertained all afternoon:

  • The Stein Hoisting Championship is a competitive forearm strength event. Fill up a stein (a large mug) and hold it out in with a straight arm for as long as possible. Compete against other men and women for prizes! (They'll even be a competition for the youngsters too, as they hoist apple cider.)
  • The Ro Sham Bo event is a competitive spin off of the classic "Rock, Paper, Scissors" game. Although the champion receives a trophy, both serious and competitors that are just trying it for fun are welcome.
  • Keg Bowling, we know you like emptying the kegs at Hop's, but how do you like throwing them down a bowling alley to see how many pins you can knock over? We're betting that knocking down keg pins will be a little more difficult than the regular bowling kind, but hey, who's not up for a little challenge?
  • We included lawn games like cornhole, Jenga, and more. We even have Apple Launching, launch apples toward a target and try to hit the center!

The Season Pass Holder VIP access area is available to those that have purchased a 2019/20 season pass at Boyne Highlands or on boynhighlands.com. Pretzel necklaces, a special keg, and yummy hors d'oeuvres await!
